A spectacular pediment field of hand rubbed book matched crotch mahogany is highlighted by a distinctive inlaid shell motif and bordered by a ribbon of gleaming satinwood. Crotch mahogany also adorns the face and sides of a cut out base with intricate carved wraparound molding.

The elegant case features three quarter fluted front columns with top and bottom turning caps, a shaped front door mid rail and hinged side access doors with beveled glass center panels.

A shining polished brass lyre pendulum with embossed bob design swings behind an expanse of beveled glass center panels.

Time's passage is reflected in a richly adorned moon dial with heavy casted corner spandrels and center disc, polished brass finished base plate and applied Arabic numerals, commanded by a durable triple chime cable driven movement that features Westminster, Whittington or St. Michael's chimes and an automatic night time chime silencer, four jewels and nine bronze bushings for extra durability.
